Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow we'll look for a 1BR

Finding a 1BR for Sam Masur

February 1, 2026

Sam Masur’s seeking an apartment.

He’s single, born in New York City , raised in Los Angeles , and shaped by a traumatic childhood injury that left him spending a long stretch in the hospital recovering. It was there that he met Sadie Green — she, visiting her sister — and through video games they forged a connection, escaped from reality, and eventually became business partners.

After time apart and college at prestigious schools in Massachusetts , they reunited, moved to New York , and founded Unfair Games, where they achieved real commercial success. (For readers who recognize him, Sam is a character in Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow. Hey, even fictional characters need places to live. )

Sam has a disability, which means an elevator building isn’t a preference — it’s a requirement. He’s successful, independent, tied to New York, and wants to land on the Lower East Side — across the bridge from Unfair Games, based in DUMBO. He has a budget of $600-$900k , but he wants a one-bedroom, aka “no studios” . His credit is good , and we’ll look at 30-year mortgages (even though he might be the sort to consider a shorter-term, adjustable rate option).

Over the next five days, we’ll follow Sam as he tours five one-bedroom apartments on the LES. At the end, we’ll ask a simple question — which home is the best fit for Sam?

Here’s what we’ll see:

Take a gander now and we’ll goose it tomorrow.

REMEMBER: Starting February 8, More For LES will release newsletters 2x/week (Sundays and Wednesdays).
