Til Valhallar! Or, see you on Clinton Street

66 Clinton sits a sharp right turn off the Williamsburg Bridge, nestling in between bars, boutiques, and brothels. (No, not really. Just making sure you’re not just skimming. All but the latter is true.)

Conceived as a boutique condo with twelve private residences, the building is intentionally intimate, but also private and offering a sense of calm — something Clinton Street doesn’t induce amidst the bustle of businesses, patrons, and passersby.

Developed by Vault Development Partners in partnership with TLM Equities, and designed by TalliTien, 66 Clinton draws from Nordic design principles, to which I say:

“Show me the Vikings!”

I believe that translates roughly to minimalism and natural finishes, as opposed to horn-helmeted, axe-wielding warriors popping out of the closets. The building features a brick façade, a limestone-clad lobby, both to suggest “restraint” and “warmth.”

Inside, the residences are designed around the idea of the “great room,” with open-plan living, dining, and kitchen spaces that prioritize flow and livability. White oak millwork, honed marble surfaces, and bronze hardware appear throughout, grounding the interiors in a natural, tactile palette. The primary bathrooms are wrapped in floor-to-ceiling stone with floating vanities and oversized showers. Kitchens are custom-crafted with rift-cut oak cabinetry, honed stone islands, and a full suite of high-end appliances.

Really, if we want the Nordic joke to work, the appliances should be Viking.

Crowning the building is a full-floor penthouse that unfolds as a sequence of light-filled spaces, framed by multiple terraces and a private rooftop. Loft-like ceiling heights, detailed setbacks, and multiple exposures bring light deep into the home, while outdoor spaces flank the living areas and extend the sense of openness upward and outward.

Amenities at 66 Clinton are deliberately limited. Rather than having an amenity floor, the building has a discreet lobby with a part-time doorman and concierge services, a boutique library lounge, a landscaped garden, and a private fitness studio.
