70% of buyers do this, and 50% experience post-purchase remorse: Don't be one of them!

The A.C.T.I.O.N. Framework

November 19, 2025

We’re on Day 4 of the A.C.T.I.O.N. Framework — a guide built to help you navigate the home-buying process with focus, stamina, and confidence. Whether this is your first purchase or one of many, the goal is to keep you steady through the ups, downs, and in-betweens — and help you land happily on the other side.

In our last post, we explored Triage, which was all about prioritizing what matters most — identifying your must-haves, nice-to-haves, and deal-breakers so you can move forward with clarity.

Today, we’re turning to Interview — the step where you choose your partner in the process. (The best part: You don’t need to have your business threads pressed!)

Finding the right real-estate professional isn’t just about access to listings; it’s about finding connection — someone who listens, interprets, and makes the journey easier.

STEP 4 — Interview: Align with the expert who understands your dream — and your means.

Not all agents are the same, and this step can make or break your experience.

The truth: around 70% of buyers work with the first agent they meet. Sometimes that works out. Sometimes it doesn’t.

Interview at least three professionals (and please make me one of them)!

You’re not just hiring access to listings; you’re hiring someone who listens, interprets, and makes the process easier. Ask how they work, how they communicate, and how they’d help you move from searching to closing.

When you find someone who gets your rhythm, that’s your partner in this journey. High-five!

Looking at Interview within 10002: Within the LES, there’s no shortage of experienced, licensed professionals at work. Some focus exclusively on this neighborhood; others take a broader view across New York City. A select few are more visible than others — they have multiple listings, known reputations, and if you’ve been searching, chances are you’ve already come across them or toured one of their apartments.

I’m one of the Lower East Side’s neighborhood professionals, and I’m here to assist you — bringing the same insight and care I share through More For LES. But, as you conduct your interviews, if you decide you’re looking for something different — perhaps a larger brokerage — I’m glad to connect you with people I know and trust, who I believe would value your business and serve you well.

Of course, there are others I wouldn’t recommend — and that’s part of why I’m transparent about how this community works.
