Who ya gonna call, and who do your neighbors suggest you call?
NYC Service Pro: Version 2.0

Where do you go when you need a reputable tailor?
What happens when the clasp on a piece of jewelry — that irreplaceable heirloom that you inherited from Aunt Bea — suddenly breaks?
And when you have unwanted critters playing hide-and-seek in your home… and those critters are not your kids… who do you call?
(Did you say Ghostbusters? Me, too!)
We all have access to Google, Yelp, and countless directories that can surface a service provider on demand. These are valuable tools, and they have their place.
But more often than not, the most trusted recommendations come from the people right around you. Not even your friends, per se, but your neighbors.
Neighbors, whether across the hall or up the street, who live in similar buildings, with similar pipes, walls, quirks, and problems, are your best references. These are people who have already faced — and solved — the exact issues you’re dealing with. (Maybe even right now!)
When your neighbor recommends someone, it carries a different kind of weight.
NYC Service Pro: A Free Resource Created by More For LES
In late 2025, we launched version 1.0 of NYC Service Pro, a digital service provider directory where every provider has been publicly recommended by neighbors in real community groups. Each provider has been carefully sourced, verified as having been recommended by a third-party, and organized to make those trusted recommendations easy to find and use.
Today, I’m excited to share the next version of the platform.
What’s new
At a high-level, NYC Service Pro has increased the number of providers by nearly three-fold, while also extending into new trades and neighborhoods. Here’s what you’ll find in NYC Service Pro 2.0:
A fully built-out platform with accounts, profiles, admin tools, and secure access
Invite-only access to help keep recommendations trusted and local
Over 100 providers, sourced exclusively from real recommendations shared in Facebook groups like this one
Expanded trades, including Cleaners, Movers, Tailors, Jewelry Repair, and more
Faster, more powerful search with filtering, sorting, and improved trade pages (including neighborhood and co-op filters)
More complete provider profiles, including multiple trades, contacts, and clearer visibility into where they work
Standardized trade categories and clearer definitions across the board
Improved privacy controls, SEO, and overall user experience
Most importantly, the network continues to grow, powered by real recommendations from local co-op, parent, and neighborhood communities.
