Today, let’s shine a light on the local staples surrounding our target property, One Essex Crossing, and answer one of your questions: Isn’t the Market Line closed?

Groceries
Essex Market is right on-site — a historic, full-service food hall with dozens of vendors offering fresh produce, specialty items, and prepared foods. Trader Joe’s and Metro Acres are just two blocks away, and there’s a Lidl coming soon to Grand Street.

Schools & Daycare
Located in District 1, nearby elementary schools include PS 110, PS 184 (Shuang Wen), and PS 34. Several daycare centers are within a 1-mile radius, including Victoria Children’s Group (where I sent my own kids!) and My Little Village, a local favorite.

Worship
A church (St. Mary’s Church), a mosque (Madina Masjid), and multiple synagogues are all within walking distance.

Pharmacies
CVS and several local pharmacies are conveniently located along Essex, Grand, and Delancey Streets.

Hospitals
Major healthcare options within about a mile include NYU Langone, Bellevue, NY-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan, and Gouverneur Health, a municipally-owned facility formerly known as Gouverneur Hospital.

Transit Access
The F and J/M/Z subway lines are steps away at Delancey Street, along with the M14 and M9 buses. And on sunny days? The walk across the Williamsburg Bridge is actually pretty pleasant.

Right outside your door: a bustling food court at Essex Crossing, Regal Cinemas, The Gutter bowling alley, and the International Center of Photography (ICP).

Fun Fact: ICP was my first NYC gig — as a Digital Photography intern. That was back when it lived on 94th & 5th… which definitely dates me.

Yes. The subterranean food hall beneath Essex Market, known as The Market Line, is currently closed.
